Apple Crisp: Super Clean, Healthy and Delicious!

One of my weaknesses is dessert. I grew up with having dessert after a meal and there are certain ones that always stood out in my mind. Apple Crisp is one that I just can't say no to. If it's there, I want it. So this delicious, simple, and clean recipe was the perfect way to enjoy one of my favorite treats, but that fits 100% into our meal plan!

Serves: 4

Prep Time: 10 min

Cook Time: 30 minutes

21 Day Fix containers: 1 purple, 1/2 yellow, 1/2 blue

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled & sliced apples

  • 3 Tbsp. maple syrup, divided

  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided

  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats

  • ¼ cup finely chopped raw walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.

  2. Combine apples, 2 Tbsp. maple syrup, and ½ tsp. cinnamon in a medium baking dish; mix well.

  3. Combine oats, walnuts, 1 Tbsp. maple syrup, and ½ tsp. cinnamon in a medium bowl; mix well.

  4. Top apple mixture with oat mixture. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until apples are soft.

Alternatives: You can top it with Greek Yogurt for an extra dollop of deliciousness. Measure it out with a red container and add that to your container count above.

Enjoy! Please share, comment and like if you enjoy or want to try this recipe!
